Blown Head Gasket?

Hey Folks! I read all the comments and decided to resolve my head gasket issue before tearing the engine down. I pulled the water pump, replaced the “O” rings (pump showed signs of previous leakage), removed the radiator and flushed twice with a 60/40 water with muriatic acid mixture, filled with R3T correct coolant and replaced cap with an Triumph OEM radiator cap.

It seems to have worked! Rode for 200 miles in our South Texas 90+ degree heat and the coolant tank remains at the mid mark. Bike runs great.

Gonna run a few more times before I’m gonna count my chickens, but it looks good!

I figured it was a coolant issue. One of the problems with these and most engines that have poor coolant health for a while is that the head gasket water porta get jam packed with rust.
The acid you used probably did the job and was probably the issue.
When I flushed my rocket with thermocure I got about a full cup worth of rust and scale crap out.

it will. Your issue was a clogged system on a less than ideal mixture of coolant.
Here is what i pulled out of mine!
Antifreeze overflow from reservoir
and that was at 8K miles on the STOCK coolant. word is that if the coolant was not changed every 5 years or so that it basically would rust out the sleeves and head gasket ports.
