Bringing the front tire up.

To get the front up in first and second with a passenger on board I find is easy, not that they are always amused by that fact. The extra weight at the rear tyre helps prevent the wheel spin I guess. When leaving work if I twist it too much (not much needed) before the tyre warms it spins too easily and the bike on numerous occassions has had the rear wheel drift to my left. Solo I often skip the front tyre in the first two gears if the rear doesnt break loose. Have the Metz on at the moment but I'm thinking of changing to Bridgestone Exedra for something different next time.

It does put alot of stress on the shaft when u lift the front though and the bike never lifts 100 percent straight with a shaft . I've had a couple of mates stuff the shaft up from lifting the front then stripping the shaft.

Depending on who is on back, I must be very careful in order to NOT bring up the tire. Breathing on the throttle in low with two on board, will bring it up in low. My wife is used to it. (I think she secretly likes it.) At ROT year before last (Republic of Texas Rally) I was making the parade route with MB. I would infrequently pause a few moments and let the front bikes advance to give me room then raise her up a foot or so. With MB on back, it was so easy to gently raise it and gently let it down. After making the first circle of the parade route, when people saw us coming, they would screem "do a wheelie, do a wheelie" Needless to say we (MB and I) would comply.

Believe me Robert, you're not getting old. I'm 62 and been riding since I was 14. I've lifted the front wheel of all manner of bikes, but with the R3T all I seem to do is break the rear tire loose. Probably has something to do with that 180 rear tire.

Of course I haven't tried yanking the throttle wide open at 10-15 mph though. On most bikes I've had in recent years that would certainly bring the front wheel skyward. I wouldn't be too concerned about the 750 lb beast coming up, but coming down is another story....

well I see I have good company , just turned 66 and all I can think of is where can I go to enjoy good riding roads , I did the san juan capistrano lake elsinore last week before pulling up stake to go to work (new job) must say was disappointed too many cars too many cops because too many dead riders and driver on that stretch of road every week . hopefully if I am in america in may I will go to the meet in maggie valley ,and enjoy some friendly company.

lifted the front wheel only once on the freeways south of frankfurt in fourth gear along a 911 who stupidly thought he could outrun me scared the begezzus out of me for the 5 seconds it lasted , till it hit the 6400rpm . stretched my arms an inch or so and flattened my eyeballs for that day but I survived the experiment.

Where u at? it says Calgary but highway 74 is not far from where I live...Escondido CA. My wife and I did the same ride 3 weeks ago BTW do not stop at Hell's kitchen at the top, possibly the WORST food and definitely the WORST service I have ever had. I can say this with some authority since I teach Culinary Arts at a local college. If you're ever back in the area PM me and lets ride.

Lift the front up na never this was second gear but it was already in the air from first. That red helmet you see in the other lane is a ZX-14 getting a little bagger lesson :D

This track was the first time I ever raced the beast. I was 2800 miles into a 3500 mile criuse coming back from the Rocket event at Fontana Dam NC.

Its took some getting used to as the first pass I made I did four wheel stands. It was just **** funny everytime I rolled the boost the basturd would just stand up.

One of the quarter mile runs I had the wheel up the whole way and did not even know it. I so caught up in the fun and nervous as **** at the same time. The croud loved it, a bagger beating these guys that drag race all the time.

I remember looking at Art while the guy in the wet box was doing a big burn out rolling the bike on the radius to heat her completely. I looked at Art and said I don't know how to do that and I don't want to know either.. He laughed his ass off and said drive around the wet box and right up to the lights it will freak people out.

Can't wait to get the chance to play again its great 20.00 bucks and you can break the law :D

Oh and thats the Avon Cobra hooking up like a mad man. Of course the strip had so much rubber down I think grease would have hooked up !!!!!
