I recently sold my fully customized Boss Hoss with a 383 ci small block stroker motor (Comp cam, Sanderson headers, AFR heads, etc. with $75K+ invested).
I put about 70,000 miles on the bike with numerous cross country trips so the concept that it is not for real riding is BS! It IS a high maintenance machine but there is nothing like the rush of 480 HP in a roll on.
The WOW factor is incredible and the small block engine is the heart of hot rodder's so that the available inexpensive engine options is incredible at very low prices.
The bike is VERY heavy and has poor maneuverability which is why I bought my R3 and had Carpenter do magic on it.
I tired of the fear of getting too hot into turns with such limited ground clearance as well as dreaded gravel in parking lots with my short legs. My R3 feels like a toy in comparison.
I've never enjoyed a toy like the Boss and have regrets about the sale.
The Boss is in another category of its own but the disrespect is undeserved!
