Looks like he's going to have to buy some TuneMAN software and start sorting out that fuel problem ;)

I've seen a lot of those kits lately at different rallies, one year it was colored lights, the next I-Pods with loud speakers.Seems every year there is something new and rediclous to add to ones bike, I do like the lights though;)

The lights are super cool! Look choice on my custom VTX...not sure about the rocket. Killer on the mammoth Hoss!

there was a boss hoss for sale in england a few months ago .

it was a 1994 for £14,000 , it seemed like a lot of cash for a 19yr old bike .

I recently sold my fully customized Boss Hoss with a 383 ci small block stroker motor (Comp cam, Sanderson headers, AFR heads, etc. with $75K+ invested).
I put about 70,000 miles on the bike with numerous cross country trips so the concept that it is not for real riding is BS! It IS a high maintenance machine but there is nothing like the rush of 480 HP in a roll on.
The WOW factor is incredible and the small block engine is the heart of hot rodder's so that the available inexpensive engine options is incredible at very low prices.
The bike is VERY heavy and has poor maneuverability which is why I bought my R3 and had Carpenter do magic on it.
I tired of the fear of getting too hot into turns with such limited ground clearance as well as dreaded gravel in parking lots with my short legs. My R3 feels like a toy in comparison.
I've never enjoyed a toy like the Boss and have regrets about the sale.
The Boss is in another category of its own but the disrespect is undeserved!

I have ridden with a couple of Boss Hosses.
No disrespect toward them - they are an anomaly . . . period.
I always thought one of the primary purposes of a motor was maneuverability.
The Boss Hoss has very little of this and I don't think its quarter mile times are that super. I like the HUGE engine concept and just feel it wasted on two wheels. IMO, it would better be served on a reverse trike platform where more of that awesome power could be utilized.
Each to his own - I am IMPRESSED that you rode one across the country.

70k is VERY impressive on a Boss Hoss! You don't see many with that kind of mileage. I can't imagine the fuel costs but I bet everyone heard you coming down the road on that thing....lol. Has anyone here ridden the v6 version or know anything about it?
