My go to boots are Bates 8" tactical sport boots with side zips. Lightweight, comfortable and they breathe.

I also have a part of Gasolina Cafe style ton-up boots, which are better for cooler and cold weather, but they do have perforated versions for hot weather.

I used those bates boots as my construction work boots for a while because steel toes were destroying my feet. Pretty good light boots.

I need a new pair of boots (mine are worn out).
Any ideas for boots that are not too fat from the front that would fit under the shifter?
I don't want to get those weird looking racing boots.
What are you guys wearing while on the Rocket?

The point of weird racing boots is to protect you feet, ankles and shins if you hit the pavement at speed. I wore Frye boots that I water sealed while touring Europe in 1970 but since then wore just sneakies and everyday shoes for years. Until I broke my foot 8 years ago and later the other foot (not riding). Now I need stiffer soles and more support and use Alpinestars (SMX-3, SMX-S and SMX-1R) which have a pretty low profile at the toe and which fit my wide feet. You should be able to adjust the height of the shifter for fatter, clunkier shoes or boots.

I have 2 pairs of these. One for warm weather and a larger size to stuff extra socks in for cold weather. I like them as they are comfortable, durable and decent on the pocket book. A no frills solid choice.

I second the Gasolinas recommended by Ko Jack. They do make a statement and are real bike boots custom made to your foot.

Most of the time I wear cowboy boots with non leather soles. I’ve got to many to show them all but here are a few. The green tops are American bison and shark. Black elephant trunk and brown elephant. The blue tops are a vamp of hippopotamus and the tall brown are another Gasolina and the last are a Stingray with a Vibram sole.
