blown headgasket

Havent seen any leaks on my '08 yet, (knock on wood) but you guys have me worried now ... thanks!:(

it being 08 models they would be under warranty and triumph will take care of it with no problems

Rainman you need to get a hold of Les I believe he said he has a set of Nevs street cams. They would pep your ride up a bit without going crazy. He I have not heard of any R3T's with cams yet break the ground man:D

Got the bike back Sat, 10K service and Head Gasket replaced.
Most of the labor to check the valves was redundant
when replacing the head gasket under warranty, and the oil change
was covered with the head gasket too. The 10K only cost me $175.
Not bad ;-)

What dealership did you use, JRock and where in NJ are you located. PM me if that's a "security" issue!:)

Actually, I bought the bike at Hermey's in Port Clinton, Pa, 90 miles from my house (!)
They've been Triumph dealers since 1963.
It's a royal pain to bring it there and back. My wife is fed up taking me. I'm buying a trailer for the next 10K service trip.

I bought it there because they were the nearest dealer that had the bike in stock, plus they gave me $800 off list (got it for 14.2K). The SOB's at Greenbrook Cycle on rt 22 wanted full price for a 2005 leftover! And Triumph of Freehold offered no discount and make me wait 2 weeks to 'find' one.

A big down side to the 90 mile trip, I flat-spotted the rear tire a bit :(
It's all highway on rt 78.

JRock: Have you ever considered giving Jack Trebour Cycle in Ledgewood a shot? They're on Rte 46 just off I-80 and in addition to Triumph, they are also dealers for Ducati, MV Agusta and Suzuki. They've been around for awhile and seem to have a very good reputation! Besides they are 20 minutes away from me. If you get up and around these parts perhaps we can get together for some adventures in the twisties?!?
