Backing down the driveway ?

30 degree driveway backwards on a 360 kilo bike .. Phil cut the guy a bit of slack for ***cs sake. Bet there are shiitloads of occasional riders that wouldn't even attempt it. Turntable is a good option I reckon. Joe do not be discouraged

Only a momo would attempt to back his bike down a 30 degree grade, TC. I am not prone to cutting one any slack for buffoonery, but will give you a pass for your little boo boo.;)

Ive had to back my Venture down the driveway a few times. It all depended on how my cars were parked. It was a PIA. Since my driveway has now been widened prior to the Rockets arrival I now have an extra 4 feet of space and space the cars appropriately.

I'm glad this thread popped up, my wife wants to sell her sportster and get a fatboy low (the bike, not me), I'll get one of the turntables for her new ride, make her life easier if she takes it out when I'm not around. We have a brand new house, but the builder hasn't paved the driveway yet, and it will still be awhile before they do final lift on the street, it's quite the bump rolling out of the driveway, safer for her to drive it out.

Thanks to folks here, I signed the dotted line today on a '14 Red Rocket Touring.

Dealer expects to have it ready by Friday, and it should be home Saturday.3

Croft, thank you for that link to Discount Ramps. I ordered the one you recommended, and it arrived today. Just as with some toys delivered by Santa, "some assembly required". There is a sticker on it that says "Limit 1,250 lbs", and the heft of the unit suggests that it will be up to the task.

Joe you might as well Craigslist the rest of those bikes ;) you may need the turning room and I doubt you'll be riding them much (if at all) .. speak from experience , just about everyone I know that's bought a Rocket has hardly thrown a leg over their Non-Rockets :)
