Bridgy's are made in Japan & Avon's in the U.K as far as I am aware they don't make tyres specially for the Oz market I may be wrong. Bikes that are imported with tyres on them have to be changed as well as other parts (brake pads I think is another). Mine are going great good luck to someone if they can spot the difference. Other people on here may know more about it than me. Money saved put to upgrading the suspension
Roughy's right .. tyres need to be replaced on all bikes imported from the US. Tyres for Bikes always got US plated bikes in there getting new tyres fitted.

I wonder if it's because the tyres don't comply with ADR or some other reason ,sounds like Old Mate at Kulnura wasn't full of Sh**t ,the blinged up Harley put us off!
Very happy with the bridgy/avon combo lots of trial and error by the boys on forum here. Makes it a lot easier for newbies like me. Long live freedom of speech

Think it's because they have been ridden on the other side of the road .. imported bikes meant to have their headlights changed as well for the same reason.. TFB aren't allowed by law to re-sell the US tyres no matter how little wear.

You East Coasters should maybe do a bulk buy from the States .. so should us West Coast mob. $500 for a ME880 rear here in Albany I'm told. Imagine the Bridgestone would be similar .. ***c that
Hmm TC, good point and maybe put out some feelers and try a bulk buy here and see what the response would be from a few dealers, and keep it local - ish. Just a thought.

I would most certainly do business at the above mentioned again and that would be my first consideration as far as buying in larger amounts goes and keeping it local, yes. Pete got an unbeatable deal I agree and it would be hard to match unless the dealer got a deal when he got them in bulk.
