Australian tyre prices

Just be aware that the listing of an Exedra Max front is incorrect. In 150/80-17 there is only an Exedra.

Just curious here, Canberra; but, do you feel the front Excedra is NOT a competent tire?
Should it be removed from the list?

Competent, yes. But in my opinion it's not a good option for the Rocket because of the tread design. For some reason the tread depth is thinnest in exactly the place where most tyre wear happens on the front, which meant it was almost down to wear indicators within just a couple of thousand kms. Handling was good - but no better than an Avon - and I never had a tyre throw water to the side like one, but it simply doesn't last and I lost confidence with it pretty early on.

Ordered my tyres on Friday from rocky mountain and got them delivered today 5 days ,thats pretty good .5 months to the rdu ,hmmm may have to order some more .good price good service $173 for the bridgestones excedra max and $167 for the Avon cobra plus $75 delivery ,in total. That is price I pay for one metz here at the local triumph dealership.

Gid aye , Subtle here from Melb, if I you would, what the details to buy those tyres you got that's brilliant prices. I run a car tyre on the rear for that price. I only get about 7,000 km s out of a excedra max (about 3-4 months). at that price I will go back to a bike tyre.

Thanks for the dope, Mate.

You East Coasters should maybe do a bulk buy from the States .. so should us West Coast mob. $500 for a ME880 rear here in Albany I'm told. Imagine the Bridgestone would be similar .. ***c that :cautious:

Hi Dan just took delivery of Bridgy Exedra max & an Avon cobra for the front from Jake Wilson in the US delivered to my door today $174 for the rear & $168 for the front + $75 delivery. 5 DAYS from the states great service jump on there web site & take a look.

I was talking to some blokes at jerries Café Kulnura today (one of the motorcycle orientated cafes on our regular ride route)I mentioned the fact that people were getting good prices on tyres from the US ,one of the group said the Harley he was riding , he had been imported from the States and when he went to register it the Blue slip examiner had defected the bike because the tyres where not ADR approved, he had to change the tyres to local supplied and approved tyres ,he also said companies like Bike Biz import used Harleys and Indians and have to change the tyres for Australian Compliance ,he seemed to know what he was talking about and had no reason to Bulls**t us , may be worth checking or just use them ,after all if they are OK in The States what's the difference.:whitstling:
