I

i will be looking into the Bridgestone for sure.

It's 240/55R16. OEM tyre on a C109 Boulevard. Make sure it's the Exedra Max and not just the Exedra. They are slightly flatter so appear fatter as well.
Been plenty of discussion about them on here if you do a bit of a search.

From the Bridgestone web site:

Bridgestone Europe has introduced the Exedra Max touring tyre for heavyweight, long distance touring bikes. Available in radial and bias structures with 21 sizes for the front and 20 sizes for the rear, Exedra Max will progressively replace the current Exedra touring line-up in Europe.

To develop the Exedra Max, Bridgestone has taken the best factors from its existing Exedra range and optimised the mix in four major areas of performance: mileage, stability of straight riding, handling, and grip on wet and dry surfaces. The result is a tyre that invites riders to “cruise to the max” on their heavyweight, long distance touring machines.

“Bridgestone has many years of experience in cruiser tyre technology around the world. For Exedra Max we have applied this knowhow to one basic design for ultimate riding comfort on all types of heavy cruisers” says Vincent Van Houtte, Senior Manager Motorcycle Tyre Products, Bridgestone Europe.

Tested on a wide variety of roads around the world, the new Exedra Max pattern designs ensure excellent stability and reliable response. They are optimised to reduce pattern noise and improve efficiency for a smooth, comfortable and economical ride.

The inverted V-shaped groove design helps reduce wear while maximising grip in all conditions. The groove positions are designed to enhance linear handling and the impression of rigidity, even with heavy bikes and tandem riding.

Wide crown shape for comfortable cruising Straight-line stability is all-important for long distance cruising. Bridgestone has designed the Exedra Max rear tyre with an especially large curve shape to give this stability and comfort on straight roads. With its 5-layer compound for maximum traction at any angle, Exedra Max also provides superb grip, stability and line-holding during cornering.

Sadly they don't do a front in OEM size for our bikes. Need to drop down to a 130 if you want a pair, which some have done. There is an Exedra in a 150. I've tried it and don't rate it at all.
On the front I prefer to run an Avon Cobra.

What sort of kms are you all getting, I've destroyed tyres within 3-4,000kms before but I was a lot younger and sillier then,
My mate tends to get between 7 & 10 k out of his R3 rear and even more out if the front

Big factor is how hard you gas it off the line .. that's what I reckon anyway. If you can resist the urge to nail it away from lights they'll last way longer I've found. I've gotten 20,000 klms out of a rear Metzler , but it's well and truly rooted by then. Roads up in the Territory have really course aggregate ( for the wet season I guess) they were murder on tyres. Road surfaces , riding styles and the right tyre pressure all play a part. I've always run 45psi in the rear and 40 in the front.

I get around 10,000km out of a rear B/S. Only got 4,800 from Metz and 6,500 from Avon. I don't do wheelies but tend to like taking off quickly. Get 10-12,000 out of a front. I run 40psi front and rear but sometimes drop it down a little if the road is real rough.
