Ok after looking at Hanso's designs I had a bit of a play around with it and came up with this one...

I like the concept, just don't know how the image would work on a patch.. just my 2 cents but hey to tell the truth, i would were the patch whatever you guys decided was right.

Just want to pass on a big thanks to everyone having input and all the effort and time you guys a putting into it.

Yeah, my front door to Boat club in Urangan is coming up as 1956k’s via Newell or 2150 via Pacific…

1) At this stage, I’m thinking of heading off on Wed morning Leaving Melbourne up Hume to Wadonga, then up the Olympic to Wagga Wagga and up Newell to Forbes for the night.

About 690k for day 1.

2) Maybe meet up with Cobba in Forbes Thursday morn and ride through to Moree.

About 540k from Forbes to Moree via Newell for Day 2.

3) Head up Newell, join Leichhardt etc going through Goondiwindi, Dalby, nanango, Maryborough, Hervey Bay.

Maybe TOMCAT can come across to Goondiwindi to join up.

This is about 680-700 odd k’s for day 3.

Now all that said, I normally Fly (literally, as in, by plane) over all this so other suggestions are welcome… just following google maps entering 2 night stay with Forbes and Moree as destinations as per Cobba’s thoughts.

Always good to have everybodies 3 cents worth and I wondered too how it would go on a patch, just thought it would be good if the rocket could feature on it, I think between all the ideas we will come up with a good patch.

Apparantly (according to my kids) you can say anything you like after saying that and it can't offend anybody. Not quite sure if it really works but here goes.


No offence Mrs Marty but,
It's a little too busy and would be an expensive bit of stitch work to have manufactured, but I reckon you're on the right track.

Leave the picture of the bike out of it and make the map of Oz less detailed (more cartoon styled).

Just my 2c worth. Change given if required..

I only wanted a basic outline for the map of oz but thats all I could find as it was a quick job, thought the bike might be a bit much but like I said all ideas welcome

I'll be coming up the coastal Route so maybe can meet somewhere, be apleasure to ride with ya

Struggling with a connection just now but pretty much across what everyone saying. Only suggestion is not to overcook it, Marty. Great ideas and would love to see it all come together. Very keen on meeting up for the ride so we can arrive as a group. What a sight! Will chuck in my 2 cents worth in a day or 2.

Ok this is what I was thinking of last night before going to work with the adition of Inaugaral Muster which I pinched from Mrs Marty and I'm thinking that every year after this you simply put the asterex in the area of the venue also after the first one replace the word "Inaugaral" with "Annual" for future years



any more thought on the patch does some one know a local patch maker
