Well maybe it's the company i keep but 'every ' ride i go on has to factor in an hour or so bailed up on the side of the road, usually without any shade. If you only cop it once in a day out your'e doing well. Like i said it could be the company i keep. I've found the coppers are that f#ckin stupid they can't tell who are the bad guys and who's just out for a ride these days. Come September i'd be up to go any way the group chooses.... So i'm solo , swagging it and meeting you blokes at Grafton. Now i'm going to leave at that until closer to the date ... Septembers a long, long way off
Sadly Queensland copper want admit it but all the media and political hype that every one who rides motorcycles in groups have to be bad arsed, violent, and of the top master gangsters have them sh*t scarred.
Whilst they say they are only protecting the community, and we all know there is some bad arsed bikers around it doesn't make every one who rides a bike a bad arse.
Sadly I have found if you play the game keep a low profile around the hot spots with any luck you may be left alone, sadly not always the case.

Only 100k further but all open road so shouldn't loose too much time anyway.
Just wondering if Mrs Hanso will be comfortable with a 731k/ 9hours 55min day tho.
Do we need to move the nights camp up to Casino?? 100Ks less for the next day.
It's then a 629k/ 8housr 25min day but still folllowing the same route.

Gotta wonder about these trip planners. That's an hour and a half they allocate to cover 100Ks of open road.

Marty, not sure if you've mentioned this or not but I presume closer to the time you and/or Mrs M will go and have a chat with the local coppa/s. Let them know that a bunch of gentle folk are congregating on Rockets - aged carers, youth workers, retired public servants, that sort of thing. Better not to have some young cop wake up one morning, think the Del Fuegos have arrived, sh!t himself and call in reinforcements.

Sometimes goats arse tastes pretty good depending on how much time you have up your sleeve.
It's 100k from Grafton to Casino will take a bit under an hour. My old stomping grounds now the area pretty well.

The summerland way from Kyogle to Woodenbong is a very good open flowing road but from Woodenbong to Legume it's rough as guts for 40k. With Rocket rear shockies it gives your back a work out. Not trying to tell any one what to do just giving you a heads up on a road I know well. 110k from Kyogle to QLD border near Killarney will take over an hour and a half with no stops
