Be plenty of opportunity for those joys between home and Grafton. Stealth mode once into Qld.. always pays to stay off the radar if riding in a group in Queensland.
Hoping everyone be OK with Grafton , Casino , Kyogle , Warwick , T'Wba , Nanango ,Kilkivan and onto the Bay. Guess Toowoomba be closest we be going to Gold Coast or Brissy. Hoping to avoid cars and coppers
That's the same reason I was wanting to skip around Sydney and suburbs and go the inland route. Just did it last week.
The Hume Hwy is all freeway and set up with camera's as point to point over distance from Albury to Mossvale now. That's 3 or 4 different sections with a possible hit on your licence at every one of them if you're 3k over the limit (Camera's aren't as lenient as a cop in a car).
Hit Sydney at the wrong time of day and it's stupidity verging on ridiculous. We'd spend most of our time for the trip sticking to the correct speed limit, avoiding cops, semi's, cages, paying tolls and wondering if we were on the right f#cking road all the way from Albury to Newcastle. How boring/annoying would that 800Ks be.
We could still catch up with the others and hit the coast around Raymond Terrace going inland if that works better. Can even take an extra day to do it if that's needed, but would much prefer to avoid the Hume Hwy and Sydney if possible.
Well maybe it's the company i keep but 'every ' ride i go on has to factor in an hour or so bailed up on the side of the road, usually without any shade. If you only cop it once in a day out your'e doing well. Like i said it could be the company i keep. I've found the coppers are that f#ckin stupid they can't tell who are the bad guys and who's just out for a ride these days. Come September i'd be up to go any way the group chooses.... So i'm solo , swagging it and meeting you blokes at Grafton. Now i'm going to leave at that until closer to the date ... Septembers a long, long way off
