Are They fkn kidding ?

I've never ridden an M109, dont know anything about them, to be honest if I saw one on the street I probably wouldnt know what I was looking at.

I agree with Richard and Hanso, dont really care much what somebody else rides,

I just dont think someone as ugly as PorkLoin, or PorkButt, or whatever the Hell his name is should be throwing stones....... :p

Im an active member on the M109 Forum because even though I don't own my M109 anymore, I can assure you that the group there are really, really good bunch of guys. They are all extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly bunch of people who really come through for each other, even donating their own time and money to help others in need, no matter who or where they are from. They truly are a good bunch of people.

But what they also are, are very very passionate about their bikes. The M109 is a very "sporty" looking cruiser that has a lot of modding potential, more then the rocket III does in the looks department, so you will see people doing absolutely amazing things with headlights and LEDS and 300 back tires and all kinds of cool things. When you work that hard on a bike, you definitely will be offended if someone comes around and calls them "Slow" and "Ugly" so how can you blame them.

I've owned an M109R for 5 years before I traded it in for my Rocket III, and I still have a picture of it on my desk because I truly did enjoy that bike. It was very eye catching and I got engaged to my wife while on a bike ride by the lake that I rode my M109 to. Its truly a really cool bike and very fun, but I don't regret selling it to get my Rocket III at all. After putting on 5000km on my roadster, I've finally got used to all its quirks and weight and height and now truly appreciate how much of an amazing bike it really is. You can't judge a rocket just by its looks or how it rides after a 10km ride around the block.

The fact is that the guys on the m109 forum are passionate and they will defend their bikes like we do over here because we both love what we have, and there's no reason to get all uppity about who's is faster or who's is more ugly, they are BOTH great motorcycles in their own way and if I had the freaking money to afford both, I would.. along with a Vmax and a Hayabusa and a Spider.. but hey, we're not all rich and can have more then 1 bike to enjoy.

I do admit that the M109 has some short comings, its really awful in stock form.. jerky, tiny front tire, quiet exhaust, terrible paint... it needs a lot of work, like a relationship, and once you are at the point where you are happy, things are really cool.

I love my Rocket 3 not because of nice paint and real chrome, but because it makes me happy that I can go on nice rides with my wife and still have enough power to accelerate like hell even with a passenger on the bike. The Rocket III is by far the best bike I have ever owned. I hope I can keep it as long as I can.

Well said Ricochet. I don't see stirring it up over there any more than we would wan them stirring it here. I am actually a member there from a few years back when I was considering buying one to replace my VTX1800.

What's really spookie about this is I think I may have even inquired about buying your bike Ricochet, was it yellow with a white stripe by any chance?

Yes, yes it was and it was for sale at GP Bikes. If you ended up buying it, it would of made you very happy! It was running perfectly when I traded it in. It's just too bad I can't keep both.
