Apes anyone?

I don't believe they are automatic just like seat belts, they may improve your chances in most situations but can hurt you in others. I simply do not enjoy the hobby as much wearing one. If my state required them again I would probably be done riding and just buy a convertible.

Here is mine with some nice Burleigh bars 13" apes on it, have taken the black powder coating off they are now chrome but ya get the idea, I am 6'1" so they are not real high for me, I say if you like the look then go for it, I bought mine with these on it, I'm going to be changing to some new Burleigh Roller bars which are 12" high with a big pull back and awesome look, but for $900 they would want to be awesome. hope you enjoy the pick. lol

When you do this, I would like to know the pullback on the bars you choose and how they fit your R3R regarding clearance for raising the tank.
Thank you.

http://www.burleighbars.com.au/ this is the website for the company making them, and this is a picture of them. The specs I'm pretty sure are

Size: 1" 3/4 bar
Width: 31.5"
Pullback: 13"
Rise: 12"

They even weld in a bracket for the original mount guages, cool, can't wait for them to arrive, they are made at the time of order, My company Queensland Tech Service PTY LTD has now become a dealer for Burleigh bars in Toowoomba, Queensland 4350, I am also in the proccess of making a trailer for the bike, my own custom tow hitch with removalable tounge and everything, I'm going to be selling these when I get the design right, The trailer has independent suspension and override hydraulic brakes for maximum stability, and an extra long draw bar, should tow very nice behind my Roadster.
