Likely yes since car tires last longer than MC tires and riders want to get the best solution for the activity. In my case I like the idea of the dark side for long distance touring and humdrum commuting. Still looking for a second rear wheel to be able to switch back and forth.

I have one that I can bring to Richwood next June. Has disc and hub on. 300 + shipping. Somehow ended up with three of them. My bike is a 2007 Classic. No abs.

K9, thanks for the offer. Sounds like you are rolling. I am running ABS on my ride. Have a few too many projects in the hopper at the moment, so not quite ready to pull the trigger. If only time and money could be unconstrained.

What if the tread compound Was changed and or increased to car tire life specifications? While keeping the tires equally priced. Would people still use a car tire?

I would not. If I could get 25K miles out of a 100$ MC I would do it. The closest thing is the Exedra Max. 10K grampa miles, 200$ installed. For the front, rear Pilot 5.
If riding concrete slab the CT is better. The 215 is narrower and taller profile. Cheap and works great. 59$ + 40$ install.
