And then there is always a scooter.

Janus Motorcycles

They are beautiful hand crafted machines Lupe, much like they were done "back in the day" with the old Brit bikes, that were largely hand built. Of course, it was one of the things that killed the British motorcycle industry.

My friend, Steve, who bought this one has always ridden Airhead Beemers and said they are just as easy on which to work. I looked his over closely and it really is nicely done. Fit and finish are perfect. He has the hardtail though that takes a bit of getting used to.

However, note the size of the riders in the video. 200+ pound lard butts like me need not apply.

Oh and the "Why to own a Janus" is a must read. It makes a lot of sens.

will read it when i get little time, thanks for the review

And I will continue to point out all the **** you talk. I guess you already changed your mind on the Yamaha... Others around here may find you amusing and let sh!t pass, but I'll continue calling you out for your bullsh!t. Just know, I would do it to anyone on here. Actions may be louder than words in person, but on a forum all we have are our words to be held accountable for.

Oh and Joker is one of my Boxers, if he had hands instead of paws, he would call out the bullsh!t too
Well that's OK. Your so beyond my IQ and financial status i do not understand why you bother insulting me. I tried very hard once to make are peace. Even offered to buy you a beer or two but yet you continue. Yes i follow what is going on in the motorcycle industry very much so. Call it a hobby of mine. Took me a bit to find the niche in the motorcycle industry and believe the Yamaha venture might just be it. Harley riders and new riders do not like it. NO Curb Appeal. Understanding your position in life the bike would probable not be of interest to you. For me the search is always on for the next best deal. The Rocket was very much a deal in its time. Nowadays looking for a bike I can ride in comfort. Plus no matter what i prefer wife has finally say. That is why we have been together for the last 19 years. Fourth marriage for me and don't see much of a future at my age for the next one, She rode on one today and liked it very much. We both did. First bike have just rode and enjoyed in a long time. Price is right for what your are paying for. You must remeber my friend not everybody is made of money and must have to go through life making compromises. Sorry to have offend you in any way. Besides all that will blow off the run in Texas. Have fun. Back to compromises Love the folks i rode with down there the last time but due to your short comings will pass. I am left in a very bad position.Offend the folks i like to ride with or just get my ass kicked by the folks i used to ride with by not taking action. Prefer to stay neutral. By the way have you ever considered a GERMAN SHEPPARD. Better yet stay with the Boxers. Why bother getting a dog that might just be a bit smarter than yourself,:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh: Let it Ride. Almost forgot. How is ROCKET holding up

Back in the days late seventy's did 150,000 on a **** RD 350 without blowing a reed. Now for those folks that know what am talking about you can respond. All others just shut up.

Holy moly. 150K on an RD? You are my new hero. Wonderful, simple, bullet proof bikes they were. I rebuilt my YDS-1 250 out front of the barracks parking while at Radioman A school, San Diego in 1968. Easy Peasy it was.

Nice posts @sonny, wish I could prise that from you with all those long distance miles and maintenance it should be a steal and I already have the spare rear guard. ;):D
You will get nothing as a trade, so just park it and take it for a blast on the weekends and in that joyous coming of the post retirement, no commute life.:)

We know you will never leave and I am still impressed you can type so well when the suds rise and those frothy little thought bubbles start rampaging around your living room. ;):D:roll::roll:

Well you know what. Don't care. The Rocket served me well. Good bike and enjoyed it. Placed 56,000 miles on it in four years. I kind of look at the comments and just smile. Its all water under the bridge. i ride period. When folks make comments about this and that it is cool. I have done my best to help others out when they have suffered issues on their bikes that i have experienced and have stayed up all night to help them even after working a 12 hour shift knowing full well was not going to get any sleep before the next shift. Sometimes i may get a bit drunk and make some off the wall comments. So what. Nature of the beast. If i wanted to be the pillar of the community i would have a pickup with a Harley sticker. Yes i enjoy very much working on my bike but when it becomes more work than riding it is time to start looking at reality and realize you have just about rode the wheels off. Would i offer the Rocket X no. 74 to a fellow Rocket rider on here for a reachable price. NO. The bike is worn out. The electrical side of the house is shot. Some of the issues i have found while trouble shooting is unbelievable. Yes to some folks it may be hard to believe but i do ride in the rain. A daily ride of 100 miles plus in Oklahoma everyday 360 days a year your going to hit a bet of weather. Do i want to ride on a few days off in the rain during a run? Not. Do i ride the twisty slow yes but believe that make me less of a experienced biker not. Been riding since i was seventeen. Only bought one car in my life for myself. The fiat. It has 70,000 after being bought new in 2013. Even for you all with your pure thoughts of yourself's you getting a theme here. The Yamaha venture may not be the fastest or even add up to Harley's at curb appeal. If i want curb appeal i'll ride the 125 S&S Fatboy. Not really into all that. Do have to say hats off to Warp Nine. He was a lot of help and to the folks across the pond in New Zealand and Australia. One of these days will take a real vacation and come visit you all. But can say to some of you all. KISS MY ASS:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Well Sonny when you do get to New Zealand your more than welcome to come and stay at my house.

Back in my "in shape days" (late 80's) I did 10,000 + on an old chromoly steel framed 12 speed bicycle......... WHO THE FVCK CARES :coffee:

I did 'Le France de Tour' on a chain-less tricycle, backwards, without mirrors under my nom de plume
'Le Ish-Rubb' while undertaking Ishrub's Travels, ask Gulliver my Ghost writer, who stole the concept and came out later with his own far more, far-fetched version. ;):D

Rattle, tattle and, prattle, its all the same as long as it is, occasionally, itty, bitty and witty.;):)
