adaption reset not taking.

He is running a modified version of 200355 for the roadster Hanso for triple filters aftermarket exhaust secondarys 100percent open and ignition tables copied from higher gears.

find it strange that he has been running it succesfully for sometime and now problems im wondering if there is a problem elswhere
yeah that does sound odd, has he maybe changed his fuel supply (91 to 95 oct)

I've had that happen a few times when downloading a tune directly to the ECU. But I've found that if I saved the existing map to the map file and then downloaded the desired revised tune, I'd get a green TPS indicator within a minute or two of startup.

Well I just am not getting anywhere with this so I ordered a new cable tonight just in case. Not sure what else to try at this point.

Thanks Hanso,Mitch,and others.

I hope I didnt hijack the thread.

I came home today after work (in my truck) and fired up the bike from a cold start. It didnt run bad or overly rich. Now last night I couldnt get the TPS box to turn green. I don't know what to think because everytime I changed tunes I always reset the TPS and successfully got the green light. Now my bike was running rough yesterday, I reset the TPS after checking my tune even though I didnt get the green light, and now it runs fine???

What is going on here??

Well I just don't get it!

Today I raised the tank and checked all connections and didnt see anything wrong. Then I removed the tank and drained out all the gas. Installed the tank and poured fresh gas inside. Hooked the computer up, checked the tune again, installed a different tune (leaner), and reset the TPS. This time I got the green light!!!!!!!!! However the bike sounds like it is missing a cylinder. :( I'm serious.........that's how bad it is running.

I guess I will plan on taking it to the dealership next weekend or maybe sometime after work next week. I bought the extended warranty when I bought the motorcycle. The deductible is supposed to be zero dollars.

What do you think it might be?

Jumped timing?
Ignition switch going bad?
Spark plugs?
Bad injectors?

PM sent in reply to your headache I just wish it was here I could probally work it out, something I forgot to mention about connecters and that is to give the wires in the back of the plugs a wiggle in case there is a bad connection as happened to me when I got the PCV + AT the can cable between the PCV and the AT was faulty and cause the bike to run rough for no apparent reason so I just started testing and a checking and viola no message between the two units

Again!!!!!!!!!!!!!
**** your popular! LOL

Well, I had a few minutes this morning. I cleaned the crank sensor as it had not been done previously.
Reloaded the original map that came on the bike. (20364)
The TPS was adapted within a couple of minutes. :D
So I'm thinking it means there is nothing mechanically wrong with the TPS.

I reloaded Wayne's map, (20366) and no TPS light
I am going to let the bike cool all the way down and try again. As it was not at ambient temp when I started the 12 minute tune.
