I thought I would take the liberty of posting a few pics ...

Theres something about a bike and a country pub ... like a hand in a glove ... like sitting around a fire late at night with your mates after a 1000 km day and the talk is all done and the quiet together is something special ...

A Curtin Fig Tree ... makes my beard look rather pitiful ...

This one is of my old beemer up on the tablelands in the mist - on the way up we rode through a tropical downpour of 111 mls of rain (thats 4.3 inches) in 45 minutes - we were wet...

Life's good on a bike when there's so many places yet to visit.

I guess the scenary around one's home base is so often taken for granted ... at risk of boring the Forum a few more photos ...

The first; one of the seven waterfalls within 50 miles of each other - its called the waterfall way when you ride the circuit

This one is a beach just up the way from here ... its good to swim at in winter cause there arnt the stingers (which can kill you)

Coming down off the tablelands the road surface is good - there are many sweeping curves and hairpin corners, a riders delight ... the rainforest comes to the road edge making for a brilliant canopy caught in the right light of day ... and the spots to pull off, have a smoke, and catch the breeze with you riding mates aint bad either ....

when it rains here in far north Queensland it rains ... its not cold but it is wet ... thats why its called the 'wet season' I guess ... here we are in a local coffee house watching the rain rather than being in it ...

happy to post more if people want ...

cheerios

Mick
