I kept looking at mine and wondering how the hell you managed it with tin snips - and then I chickened out. Bought a Dremel the other day and think I've got it marked up (finally) how I want to cut. I'm trying to do it like yours Mitch (maybe a bit lower), but if I stuff that up I can do it like ro6ert's now, which looks great.
my girl is all but ready to fire.holdin out for the 3 [5 really] KnNs to arrive [ none in australia apparently] and exhaust. still cant make up my mind,those new zard headers look 'sweet',but the muffler don't do it-for me.....i like supertrapps and their adjustability,the coppers here take a dim view of too much noise.now back to the BC topic,im going to cut mine but i was gonna use my welding grinder. dremel???who needs a dremel ?
Looks great... but ... how they guna go in the pissin down rain ? Been told conflicting stories about exposed pods and rain , mate reckons if you keep them oiled up they will be ok. Others have told me that they will let water in.. oiled .. pre-filters .. nothing will keep out constant heavy rain. Anyone been running this setup and can speak from experience ? Be no good to me if exposed pods cant handle the rain. Thanks again.
