2018 Triumph Rocket

I think you guys are totally dreaming. There is no way they are going to make a larger engine for the next rocket. With new restrictions for emmisions and fuel efficiency, its more likely they will lower the CC's and make it more "fuel efficient" and in spec with the new european market restrictions for exhausts... The Rocket already has terrible fuel mileage, why would you want it to have a larger motor? Larger motor, less fuel efficiency, add a larger fuel tank to compensate --- now this bike is really over sized in weight

I think the trend will be smaller motors with more power. Maybe it will have a super charger like the KAwasaki H2 and make a load of power from a smaller power plant. That's if they continue to sell the rocket! Thats my guess!

guys say when they put supper chargers on or turbos, or the carpitor kit , the Rocket gets better mileage it is hard to belieave because when I put my Jardine on and k&N filters and tune boy it breath better and my mileage dropped , but I like it

I am on a Honda forum also. I think what might be in store for the Wing is the opposite according to the United States Patent Office. They show Honda patent drawings for a completely redesigned GoldWing (very fugly IMHO) powered by a 4 cylinder electric hybrid and if I remember right 1200cc. Also a DCT transmission. Keep in mind anyone can take out a patent. Doesn't always mean its going to be made. However, I would tend to think if any changes are made it would be those or some of those already patented.

Pure BS. I have the Carpenter kit, carefully following a very conservative friend with electronic cruise control at 65 on the Thruway, trying for maximum mileage, I got 35 mpg even, on the way home he dropped off, I rode 85-90, I got 29.9.

I rarely if ever check gasoline consumption, I go by smiles per mile. Torque of the R3 provides plenty of smiles.

For all you dreamers. Just get Triumph to build this under license, first displayed 2003 so they must want to get rid of it by now!
Dodge Tomahawk. The motorcycle top speed is about 400MPH. It has a Dodge Viper engine. So it has about 500 Hp.

The last minute the sound drops out for some reason

Me too, but this one time I did, due to one of those posts.
And who would post such utter BS?

Always throws me with the reported US mpg figures until I multiply by 1.2 to make them Imperial mpg

Back to a big honda.....so Honda builds a Rocketized Gold Wing....it' still a Honda and it will have no soul.

Perhaps the rumor about Triumph and Rolls Royce is unfounded. A real touring bike with full fairing and tour pak would be nice.
