2017 Roadster? (no more two lines, pls!)

Yeah, that aligns with what others have been told, but I still stand by 2019 bike officially announced in late 2018 to build interest.

Calling it now: the BHP /lb-ft numbers will be higher than the R3R, but, on a dyno it'll make the same mid 120hp and mid 140 lb-ft.

any more comments on the end of the rocket 111 ?

Spoke to a marketing rep from Triumph Australia at the Melbourne Motorcycle Expo on 25 November.

He said Triumph had advised dealers that the Rocket 3 was to be phased out and a new model developed.

His guess was that the existing supply of unsold Rockets would become scarcer and more expensive.

This made me wonder whether his observation was just a ploy to encourage people to rush in and buy while stocks lasted.

My impression was that he didn’t really know what 2017 would bring.

Typical dealer BS as runouts of old stock are ALWAYS discounted! see the crash in prices reported by US members on 2015 R3Ts in USA now lower in price than 2015 Roadsters when orginally they were $2500 dearer. These have come on to the market at retail shops after auctions of brand new old stock by the Triumph factory distributors.

In speaking to a dealer last week, he stated that Triumph is focusing on the Explorer and Bonneville lines especially the retro market. They are getting out of the cruiser line saying Harley has it pretty well sown up. He stated that the Thunderbird and America/Speedy will soon be gone. When I asked him about the Rocket, he stated that Triumph hadn't issued any word on what would happen to it so here's hoping no news is good news.

Hi,

I'm in the market for roadster but I don't like those stripe, one in red and the other in white on the bike. I wonder if anybody knows when they stop this design... I like Rocket X for the design but you can't get it anymore....

What those lines represent? Is it Triumph's tradition?

Wonder if '17 model has the same design or not. Btw when '17 model comes out? Late this year?

Your input appreciated!

Thanks.

Goes faster with stripes!
