2014 RAA Colorado ride options vote

It's starting to look like a central location. If this is the way it ends up we need to quickly decide on the town and hotel so I ask those that know the area to please start making calls to the hotels in the towns that you believe would be best.

ridgway,colo. 10 miles north of Ouray(+/-), app. 25 miles south of Montrose,colo.(+/-) (my worthless opinion)see post 245 on other Ouray raa forum says they still have lots of rooms crossroads to telluride Ouray Montrose and points beyond in either direction. as for headcount 3(me ,my oldest on his rocket,possibly my wife of 31 years)

I don't think 8 rooms will be enough.
Where ever we stay has to have enough rooms to accommodate all of us.
Maybe we just have to pick the central location accordingly!

Any of those look good to me.
I usually skip the cheapest ones for obvious reasons.

i basicaly live in motel rooms due to my work and can tell you first hand....you get what you pay for

something in the 80 to 120 a night range is usually clean and comfy....and in a safe area

I acquiesce to the choice of my brother captains for a singular home base with each day ride out and back.
Can we now put up a vote on Montrose or other towns suited for this home base?
Let's get other suggested the towns posted so we can begin making phone calls regarding a block of like 30 double rooms.
