For Sale 2007 Rocket III with Carpenter Engine + Many Extras

Can you not put the bike into a local Triumph/HD shop on consignment .. never know some random just walking through the door may fall in love with it .. I'd have thought OODLE would be better than E-Bay or Cycle Trader, unless you are willing to give it away... Bob Carpenter not interested in having in his shop on consignment ?
TOMCAT,

I like your ideas and will look into them. I would probably let her go for $13k so consignment may be an option.

BOOYA,

I'll get you a picture on Sunday...

13K!? If you are willing to do it for 13K I'll probably be able to convince my wife, and be able to fly down to you and check it out. Last year I flew to Chicago and drove back a 2010 RIIIR. I would need to sell my bike but at 13K I'm seriously interested.

You all don't even UNDERSTAND how much I am kicking myself:

I bought a 2006 Mulberry Red Tribal R3R TWO DAYS AGO. TWO. DAYS. AGO. Not even that great of a price: $8200 with 4176 miles on it, but with NO accessories. With TTL and financing, I pushed near $11k to walk out the door of a dealer. I was already going to buy the Corbin bags, the windscreen, the engine guard, the guages, the fog lamps etc etc...and that would have already brought me within striking distance of this bike.

But THE NEXT day I start looking for parts and WHAM--I discover this forum. WHY OH WHY DID I NOT FIND THIS FORUM FIRST?!?

Also, I just bought a house (I've been living out of the country for three years now) in LORTON, VA...which the seller will know, because it's in NORTHERN VIRGINIA. Aaauuuugh!! When I was overseas I used a DULLES ADDRESS to forward my mail. Hell, I was looking at houses to buy around there, even.

Dealer asked me if I wanted to put any money down and I was like "Nah, I'll just keep my cash"....BUT I COULD HAVE PAID FOR THE BIKE IN ITS ENTIRETY WITH CASH. But did I? No, I didn't....And now I've already committed to paying for the financing (~$1.5k) of a different bike that I won't get back if I try to resell the thing!

Nelsonto, the dealer said there was no prepayment penalty for paying off the loan early. I DOUBT it will erase the $1.5k finance charge, but if it DOES, then I may buy out the loan for my old bike, leave it at my brother's to sell and then buy your bike...I'll be writing to you again soon.
