2006 Rocket 111 Oil in starter motor

That was my first thought , that something was dripping on it, but when someone said there was a seal, I decided not to comment

The problem with ordering one is knowing what the part actually is called or its number
The best way is to remove starter and remove starter drive, take drive to a bearing/seal supplier and they can probably get the right seal. Other than the inconvenience of your labor, shouldn't cost much. Don't think Triumph services starter parts.

After thinking on this
I am inclined to believe tnhere is a an oring or a seal..
U may also have a problem with the oil tank draining down and bring the oil level up to the starter bendix drive then leaking into the starter.
As a guess it is probably an oring and can b found at transmission shop or like a floor jack repair shop they will have good orings that will hold up to oil.

Hi, No it def comes from the rubber tube on the bottom of the starter no oil anywhere else :)

This is probably the first bad one we have seen so it is taking a while.
How much does it leak. And does it leak more while riding or over nite.
Any other info u can give?

You might have pinched the O ring and damaged it while re-installing the starter. Don't ask me why I know this can happen. Take the starter out and check the position and condition of the O ring.
