That is partially correct. They are not called car tyres - they are called Passenger Vehicle Tyres. They are meant to go on passenger vehicles, and a motorcycle is a passenger vehicle. Therefore the true statement would be, "If God had intended passenger vehicle tyres to be on motorcycles then he would call motorcycles passenger vehicles.":whitstling:;)

With a spin like that - you MUST be a Democrat!!! :banghead: :p :D
From a Google search of "passenger vehicle":

Note: this article adopts the U.S. Department of Transportation's definition of a passenger vehicle, to mean a car or truck, used for passengers, excluding buses and trains. The United States is home to the second largest passenger vehicle market of any country in the world second now to China.

Slow speed, crappy pavement on DS is a Beeyotch indeed, but the rest is smooth heavenly bliss ;-)

As the motorcycle is neither a bus nor a train it is not included in the exceptions. As it is designed to carry a (or at least one) passenger - having a passenger seat and footpegs for passengers, it is also a passenger vehicle.

Although some states may not require passenger facilities on a motorcycle, I know that Maryland is one of the states that specifically require a passenger seat and footpegs as they recognize that a motorcycle is a passenger vehicle. Believe me, I have looked at both Federal and State laws about this. :D

Bead shape differs, not meant for 2 wheel vehicles.

Glad you're happy Sonny, and glad your dealership issues didn't cause any permanent damage, you're one of the very few who it actually makes sense for considering the mileage you put on.

In california, aren't carpool lanes restricted to cages with passengers OR motorcycles, with or without a passenger? According to them then, (and any other states where this law applies) motorcycles are more likely to be a passenger vehicle than a car! :D

I personally, am quite happy with my exedra max, long as I can keep getting them below $200.

Thanks for the compliment. Yes trying to find a place that would mount the tire here in Oklahoma was a chore. A Honda dealership did it for $25.00 dollars Most shops refused to mount it. The Honda shop could not balance it due to the size but I had that covered with the purchase of a decent stand. Worked out rather well. Was told due to the bead shape difference that the tire might leak air but no problems with that so far. Now we are looking at the 20,000 mile tune up and just about got it covered part wise anyways. Experience wise it will be my first time on a major tune up. Hopefully I have studied enough to get through it. Only one way to find out, JUST DO IT.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
