183.48mph, and it's getting faster...

I've ridden two Rocket 3s at Bonneville over 150 mph and the older 2013 was very sketchy to disastrous and the new 2021 was rock solid. If the 2021 bike would have been capable of more speed I would have felt confident on it. I'm glad it didn't bite you and we are pulling for you to get straightened out.

I'd love to ride a new model Rocket 3 chassis with 250 to 300 horsepower with a bit of streamlining.
It got me pretty good... I'd call it a dry bite at the least. I'll get to the bottom of it at some point, just need a break from it for a little bit.

It took me one good safe run to get comfortable again after the crash to push it. Of course I didn't have handling issues this year, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't feel comfortable with your issues until you feel at least 90% sure you got the handling issues corrected.

Whatever the issues, whatever the causes it has to be solved and corrected before making hot passes. We are pulling for you. Want to see you set new records but also want you to finish upright.

Just had some Dunlop Q tires on it... 17" rims. It went 209.03 in May, but I have a pretty serious stability issue I have to figure out over 160mph.... it tried to kill me proper at the Bonneville motorcycle speed trials last week. More to follow on that.
Glad you are safe. Would really like to hear the details. As you may know our attempt last year didn't turn out so well on the third run.

Hey Spaz what does it weigh with you on it full race ready, front tire weight and rear tire weight?
I'll have to do the split weights again... maybe next week when I get off shift. Race weight is somewhere in the 960-980lb range. IIRC, the CoG is surprisingly far back with me on it.... need to 2x check that, though.

There wont be a day i dont wait for those numbers! I was 1040 loaded on touring at scale at work, i did not do cg weight and it almost cost me im convinced, especially with the stock touring forks settup, thats crazy youre at 960 to 980, with a different front end. Im thinking a supercharger on the front would help that dart for me. But i stand by on your numbers. Thank you for for sharing as this stuff is crazy deadly pushing a rocket 1000lb beast towards 200. Im blessed you and justdad are in my orbit of gifted great sound information. Team Rocket!

I'll get the bike back/unloaded sunday.... I'll throw on my gear and weigh it all out Monday with any luck. I need to determine the center of pressure as well... I have a feeling I'm not going to like what I find there.

As far as the weight goes, I remember taking off like 140lbs of junk street parts initially.... and the 17" rear wheel and busa front end was significantly lighter as well. Adding all the turbo stuff on was nowhere close to the OEM parts weight that fell off.
