    Running issue at speed

Cruzn6, thank you for your input! Went by the dealership today and they found the TPS was out of spec. Took time to adjust everything back within spec and then the idle was too high. After test riding and re-adjusting we decided the TPS has gone to crap. So, new one ordered.

    Running issue at speed

Pedro and all, Thanks for the start. I replaced the plugs (old ones were original equipment). This did start before I installed the new tune and before I replaced the plugs. I did the plugs and tune at the same time (I know, bad me for doing several updates at once and trying to sort out an...

    For Sale 1985 Goldwing

Like I said, the sad thing is that this used to be a some what hot commodity. I'll probably put it on eBay. That's the place to go find parts. Maybe someone will want it for one magical widget and take the whole thing and part it out themselves. (I certainly do not have the time)

Honda's give her indigestion. She prefers hogs, ducs and the occasional Stingray. :sneaky:

    For Sale 1985 Goldwing

Tripps; that's it in a nutshell. Talking with a local Goldwing specialist about getting the parts needed, he said last year by the end of summer he had sold 10 used Goldwings for good prices. This year he's sold 2. The other down side is finding a spark controller (one of the main parts giving...

    Oil Filter List

Yes, the part number would be handy. Most of the online parts sellers I deal with don't give the part number.

    For Sale 1985 Goldwing

Know anyone who really wants a project bike? Or maybe needs a whole parts bike? Sadly being a guy who is known for working on bikes (and cars) is not always rewarding. And there are those who want to give you things or tell you about some bike they saw that looks like it could run with a little...

    oil viscosity

When I bought my R3T the factory was still using Mobile 1. The break-in oil was semi-synth. Then at the break-in service (500 miles) we would switch up to full synth. Somewhere along the way Castrol got the oil gig and I switched from Mobile 1 to Castrol because I bought my stuff through the...

    Side Panel Decal

For those who want something similar/different, I found these on eBay. I don't have the sellers name anymore, but just put "British Racing Flag" into the search bar.

Tomcat; thing is I like truck. You see, it's a former raceway ambulance on a Ford F-350 truck chassis/cab with the 7.3L turbo diesel. Oh, and I have done it up as a "zombie apocalypse" survivalist vehicle. It gets noticed wherever I go. Here's a picture from the day I brought it home. :)

Thanks Steve. I would have considered a Bonneville, but I'm 6'7" and 285 lbs. Can you say "wookie riding a mini bike"? :p

    Nology spark plugs

From my previous experience and use on other bikes, I would not use anything Nology makes. They were nothing but trouble back when they first came out and pushed themselves onto the Kawi Vulcan owners (who figured out snake oil real quick) and the Yamaha Venture riders had issues, and the list...

    Greetings

Hello all and welcome to my world. You just live in it.;) Seriously, as stated in my "about me", I am a former Triumph mechanic. Yes I will offer up what I know (last training I had was on the then upcoming R3R), no I won't help you fix your bike. I tend to ride all the time, but due to my...
