Tire availability

I have been trying to source tires for the Rocket 3R now since January, seems here downunder in Australia there is no stock of Avons or Metzelers (cruisetec), Rear tires will not be available until End May....anyone else struck this issue or have any contacts of where these can be sourced?

Bridgestone now make cruiser tyres in Rocket sizes. Any good?

I'm using an Excedra Max on the rear but you have to modify the inner fender to clear the higher profile tire. This thread has all the info: Mounting an Exedra Max rear tire on the new 3R = Better Handling

I've been running Exedra Max on the rear since owning a 2.3 Roadster, now religiously on the 3R. Not a fan of the Avons. The Cruistecs are very good, but the company can't seem to figure out how to actually produce them after teaming up with Triumph to be the new official tire for the Rocket (wtf?). I've never had an issue getting the Exedra (that is here in the US). It's less expensive than the other two and handles, in my opinion, better. A slight fender mod is recommended- very easy to do.
