    Hanging Idle

I added this to mine today for easy idle adjustment with no stepper motor. Something I noticed today, changing the position of the secondary butterfly position sensor, affects the idle speed. I removed the secondary butterflies years ago and set them to 100% open. Yet moving to sensor changes...

    Whirring noise in rear end

Does it do it going in a straight line ? When my rear tire starts getting worn, it will howl when going around corners. Worried the hell out of me at first 😲

Update, melted rubber in gas tank

It's hard to find ethanol free fuel where I live, and if you do they want a fortune for it 😡

Update, melted rubber in gas tank

I just got my '70's vintage chainsaw out yesterday for the first time in over a year. Fired right up. The fuel around here is 10% ethanol. Is it higher in other places ?

Update, melted rubber in gas tank

I guess I must be living a charmed life. I use regular pump gas in everything I own, and have not had a problem with it. 🤔

no need to change a new water pump if the old one leaking ....

I think the problem with them is they glue the seal to the housing with some chintzy clear airplane glue looking crap, likely just to hold it place for quick assembly. That let's go, then actually impedes the seal from doing its job. I'm guessing the rebuild kit DOESN'T have you glue the seal...

Remove stepper code and TPS code permanently

I had to go back and look. You are correct 3 watt. Mine also measured 8.2 ohms not 8.6. I did remove the secondary butterflies. They are driven by a different stepper motor and not related to the idle stepper. If you have Tuneecu you can set your secondaries to be 100% in all gears.

Remove stepper code and TPS code permanently

What I did. Removed the stepper motor. Using a volt meter set to ohms, Measure criss cross across the plug on the step motor. Write down that number. Measure criss cross across the other two terminals in the plug. Mine were 8.6 ohms if I remember correctly. Whatever reading you get, by some...

What about the Four Seasons lodge where we stayed before in Richwood WV ? It's a little divey, but has an excellent fire pit area for hanging out.
