Remove stepper code and TPS code permanently

I had to go back and look. You are correct 3 watt. Mine also measured 8.2 ohms not 8.6. I did remove the secondary butterflies. They are driven by a different stepper motor and not related to the idle stepper. If you have Tuneecu you can set your secondaries to be 100% in all gears.

Remove stepper code and TPS code permanently

What I did. Removed the stepper motor. Using a volt meter set to ohms, Measure criss cross across the plug on the step motor. Write down that number. Measure criss cross across the other two terminals in the plug. Mine were 8.6 ohms if I remember correctly. Whatever reading you get, by some...

What about the Four Seasons lodge where we stayed before in Richwood WV ? It's a little divey, but has an excellent fire pit area for hanging out.

Erratic Idle and Stall Issue Help?

Your description of symptoms is a little vague. Earlier in its life, my '05 when pulling up to a corner, would idle really slow, then go back up to normal idle speed. Sometimes it would stall before it recovered. The cure for mine was adjusting the yellow painted idle hard stop screw. It's...

    Best Comment from Non-Rocket Owner?

My father went from a Kawasaki Z1 to a Honda Goldwing in 1978. He commented that he liked the bike, but that it felt like it had a rubber band for a throttle cable. 😀

    Drive Shaft

The bearing you put the arrow on is currently open to the transmission. That is the early design. They didn't get enough "splash" oil from the trans and would fail. Not sure what year, but they started putting a double sealed bearing in that spot. I've never heard of a double sealed bearing on...

    Drive Shaft

I would also check and see if it has a totally sealed bearing on the other end. That was something they did on the later models cuz it didn't get enough splash oil. If it's not a double sealed bearing, I would get one for it. Save you some heartache later.

    Drive Shaft

The torsional damper bearing looks like it's on backwards. The unsealed side of the bearing should be visible in that pic. It gets its oil from an oil hole in case.

Remove stepper code and TPS code permanently

Personally I think it's a glitch in the software. On mine anyway, when it would start doing the 2 grand idle, if I hit the kill switch, flipped it back on and hit the starter button, without doing ANYTHING else, it would start back up and idle at the correct speed. To me, that rules out a...

I expect the cold start fast idle is likely tied the engine temperature sensor.
