Yes, I have pondered trading for a new R3T with abs. But, it's not worth it. Here is why:
Current upgrades on 2008 R3T:
Headlight LED
Driving Light LEDs
Sub harness for headlights
12" Apes
Rivco Risers
Extended brake line
Extended Throttle and Clutch cables
Küryakyn Grips
Küryakyn Highway Pegs
Tank bra
Triumph handlebar riser plate
Triumph oval mirrors
GPro/Atre
Tripps download
TORS Exhaust
Bushtec Hitch
Bushtec sub harness
High capacity battery
Harley King Leather Tour-Pac
Dark side tire
LEDs for brake lights under rear bags.
Not to mention the Triumph Chrome options no longer available.
Cell phone holder
Butler Mug mount
Auxiliary power on handlebars
Windshield pouch
Breakaway Cruise Control
K&N filter

I would love abs. I could switch from a dark side tire. It doesn't lock up as easily. Didn't realize all the changes until I started thinking about it. Unlike my Harleys I used to have, I'm pretty sure no body else in this world has my exact same setup. Just sayin'.

Progressives are worthless. They are softer than stock. I bought a pair of used Harley air shocks on eBay. Having trouble with getting a bushing. Harley shock eyelets are small. Id on them is 1/2" R3 is 5/8. Harley Od is only about 1". It will have to be a custom made Bushing.

+1.
Had thought of that also then you would have the benefit of a newerbike plus all the other bits you've added. Doubt if you'd get much extra for the bike if you sold it with them on, so if you're goingto take them off, refit to the new one.

Happy to see you are getting your unusual shockie requirements fulfilled.
I shall strongly disagree with your blanket statement that all "Progressives are worthless".
I have run them on several different motors and find them to be excellent in all respects and especially for dialing in a large motor for optimal handling purposes.
The new 444s are SICK! What you are doing is something that your motor was NEVER designed to do by towing a darn travel trailer!
JMHO . . .
