@ricochet I know winter up there in the Great White North is a tad "more winter" than down here, but when I can't ride, a little western MD/Southern PA hiking is in order. Keeps the lungs working well...
(Ok, full disclosure, I was working not playing. Well, maybe a little playing...)
Frikkin' ricochet!!! What sort of sado-masochistic bent drove you to start such a thread as this?
Suck it up, Dude! if you can't stand the cold, get out of the igloo, whydontcha' or, do like Boog do and make yourself a bit of lemonade? Just, please, please, please don't remind the rest of we suffering wretches of the Winter withdrawals that we must all endure for 3-6 months out of each year.
Where's your sense of humanity of humanity, man???
Here... listen to this tune - maybe they'll help you to get by a little easier:
If not, perhaps these "crybabies" will do the trick:
After living in Canada for 20 years, I've had enough... 6 months of winter is too long. Its almost unbearable!! Yeah I know I complain a lot about it but I jus't dont have any way of moving south.. I wish I did.
I feel your pain ricochet, but I'm not sure there is a perfect place. Riding weather is pretty good here May through October. Your a little to far North for my blood, but if you get further south it is hotter than hell in the summer. I've ridden on several 95-100 degree days and it's like riding through a blast furnace. Most riding days here are in the mid 70s to low 80s, perfect weather for my old bones. Take heart...the days are getting longer and spring will be here before we know it. My biggest problem was I only had about 6 weeks to enjoy the Rocket before I had to put it away. Winter came early in October and November.
Tomorow I get on a plane to Fort Lauderdale to catch a cruise south for 12 days. Then I'll be spending 3 days in the Key's for a visit. When I get home on the 10th Of February I'll only have about a month to go before riding season begins.... You just gotta find a way to break up the winter....
