The problem with the warmth (29C or 84F) is it also brings out the insects, I went for a 4hr round trip to Tamworth (checked out the Country Music Festival and got my R3 serviced) yesterday and 10 minutes in to the trip and I could barely see through my helmet visor

After living in Canada for 20 years, I've had enough... 6 months of winter is too long. Its almost unbearable!! Yeah I know I complain a lot about it but I jus't dont have any way of moving south.. I wish I did.

At least half of my neighbors are Canadian. They're here about 5 1/2 months out of the year. Probably a bit older than you though.

Here today it was 27C (80F) and drizzling rain, but the rain was warm, just like having a nice warm shower outside really!

I have a Shoei helmet with the tear off posts so I should give them a try. Just a matter of getting my butt into gear and tracking some down.

Won't be riding anywhere this weekend. Forecast is for about 10 inches rain. Already had about 5 inches today, was down over the border today. Pacific Hyway was closed down to one lane north bound at ReedyCreek and the water in the open lane was above the door sills of the car infront of me. Was going to Allora to check out the rusty trucks at their heritage festival but my parents are out there already. Dad rang to say it is very wet and he has found a 1957 Ford 4ton truck for me in a shed out Leyburn way. Still probably head out that way in the 4X4 to check out the Ford.

A real sheep skin (fuzzy side up) really makes motorcycle seats all the more suitable. From what I understand, sheep skins should not be to hard to find in Oz.

You just have to be careful if you're around any Kiwis (NZers). They'll keep wanting to have a ride on you bike bike while really just wanting a chance to have sex with it.
