I'm locked and loaded...

Snowblower, shovels and ice melter at the ready check
Generator on standby check
Plenty of potable water, food and gasoline on hand check
Plenty of seasoned firewood to burn check
Ass't adult beverages to drink check

We're in that narrow band where 5 miles way one direction or the other could make a big difference in what we get, but the guessers are saying 6-10" with high winds, which is no big deal. Maybe a bit more is my prognostication, but could just as easily be less... we'll see. Down to south of us and a bit to our east and west, this is going to be a lollapalooza, though!

Good luck to those of you in this storm's crosshairs.

So... it was 79F today. Went for a canyon ride for lunch. Took a long ride through the mountains with @jpool and another buddy on a Ducati last weekend, 65F and snow on the sides of the roads, beautiful scenery!

Flying home from Buffalo today, switched my connection from Atlanta to Minneapolis so I don't get stranded.
Glad to be making it away from the mess before it hits

It's just a snow storm with some wind and high tides Phil! You really need to get out of the house and away from those weather forecasters.

That being said generator, tub full of water, snow blower in garage and plenty o booze!!

Just got back from Key West Monday, a nice blast of reality as soon as we landed, and now this, should have stayed for another week!!

We have 5 inches of snow and sleeting now, here in the NC foothills! Predicting 10 to 12 inches when it's said and done! Been a while since we've had that much in this area!

Don't get me wrong, Jag. It is just another storm for me but I have two newbie neighbors to assist if needed, one moved back from TX and has a disabled wife, the other's an airline pilot that's supposed come into Newark
around midnight tonite from Atlanta plus one other elderly, widowed neighbor and a disabled (9/11-WTC) friend nearby that I'm always on standby for, so I've got to be staged for whatever comes. I actually enjoy a good storm so long as they don't become SNAFUs.:)

Sounds like you have your hands full. Good luck! I like a good snow storm too, seems to slow things down a bit and bring people together. Wife has been cooking all day in prep for a hot tub storm party tonight!! Baton down the hatches and have a little fun!

Well, that's a judgement call, Bob. Thank you for the considerate assumption, though!:D

Uhhh, what time exactly is that hot tub party, Jim? If I bring my own swimsuit model, could you fit us in?
