Winter modifications

I tried this set up. In fact Rick was kind enough to have one sent to me
Genuine Triumph part. Any I switched back as the leverage did not feel the same as shifting with the OEM. It also could be I have darnnear 100,000 miles on the heal toe shifter and have groan used to it. As for the feelers I ground Rick's for him (effects like he is fast in the curves ) standard peg feelers fit the boards also and are a little beefier. Going for some titanium ones next year but first my 13 year old radiator hose finally needs changing good thing winter is her!!!

Send him the shifter and let him try it. I only toe shift and like to have the option to ride on the forefoot. To each their own.

I'm not against changing to a toe shifter, just would like to maintain the leverage applied by the OEM shifter verses no leverage ergonomics of one attatched straight on the spline. Might find another OEM one and remove the heal section to try.

Ok not sure where your going there but since its virtually the same as the one you sent me then its still missing the leverage gained in the OEM shifter. And again if I find another OEM shifter I'll cut the rear off it thus retaining the leverage!!!

That's one of the first things I did on mine, I hated the heel shifter. Warp a while ago you were looking into finding replacement footboards, did you happen to find anything that would suit?

Good looking kid there. I see he is hooked already. If I have to switch it will be to touring/thunderbird floor boards. Oh and I have no problem with the heal shifter but I have almost 100,000 miles on our particular kit.

HMMM. I have the oem and to be honest I use it like a toe lever. I move up. Maybe I need to change it
However, if u mount another set of pegs at the rear rail mounting. U can change gear,from two positions due to the heel part being in range of the additional rear pegs

My blobs have ground away. I need some new ones. My buddies like the sparks. Wonder if u can get different coloured sparks

My shifter needs hardly any force to make a gear change both up and down so I don't understand what you mean by leverage. The straight one is just ugly. The curved one is a piece of art.

Thanks, yeah he sure is, he had me to paint his trike the same colors as the rocket and then he promptly rolled it flying round the corner of the patio... Ok good to know thanks
