Winter is almost upon us. Time to put the Rocket to sleep

Awefully sad to hear about your pet, that was one brutal storm. I'm in Courtice and we only had power out for about 24 hrs. I'm an electrician and worked in and around Leaside( unbelievable, driving around,it looked like a battle zone) repairing the damage to the Electrical services on peoples houses so Hydro could be restored safely when it was repaired on their end. Luckily we had a fireplace so I could heat water and some food but it never warmed the house. A new Generator on stand-by this year

These were taken after a snow storm in February last year.... I'd say Ontario's biking season is late April - mid May to Late October to mid November.

I moved 1700 miles this summer to avoid such problems. In Wyoming my riding season was 4 months. Here in Alabama I expect to ride year around.

Chris, My youngest son (a senior at East High School) rides the mile to school each day. His is a 2008 EX500 and it's a very cold natured beast. He can't get it started on cool mornings let alone the cold ones there in Denver. So, to finally get him to clear the garage for his mom, I told him if he parked it in there, it would start for him each day. He finally did and it starts eveyday for him now. hopefully he will heed my advice and not try to ride it on the ice or snow as that is just around the corner there I hear...

Ya man it's almost time.... Do you know any covers that fit the rockets?

The biggest cover from Downco does... This is pretty pillion clearing the snow for me last winter. I am blessed...

I might hit winter before I can ride it one more time. Shoulder surgery has the bike in the garage for the last month and a half, my prime riding weather is fading quick...
