Why does Triumph not include basic repair tools for the Rocket. The tools in there are next to worthless. I had to rig the spark plug wrench to make it long enough to pull a plug and where in heck do you find the right tool to remove the wheel axles? I managed to rig a tool to do the job but, ****.

Well just be glad you got what they put in there. Not very useful but they have some use. Many bikes today don't come with a tool kit. I think it plays to the need to use the Service Department at the dealer. Many cars today don't have a spare tire, but they come with a tire plug kit and small pump. We have to be mechanical to take care of it ourselves.

Thankfully, I have acquired a good assortment of tools but nobody has everything. Just seems a decent plug wrench and wheel tool would be handy to include. I spend half my time trying to rig something instead of fixing problems.

u might be able to use the spark plug tool plus the 12mm allen plus a 12 mmbox wrench.
or i assume the allen will fit the plug wrench.
but i know what u r saying i made my tools to carry but i know if i get a flat i call the truck.

I think the tool kit with the bike is only intended as an emergency kit.
Since there are 2 spark plugs per cylinder the chances of a break down caused by a plug is very slim.

Sometime it's best to just make up your own toolkit. I keep adding and subtracting from mine to keep it as compact as possible yet allow me to address most issues I might run into on the road. I've decided you can't have it all so just stick with the most likely and forget about the rest.

I don't think the tool kit would very useful on the road. So far the only video I have found on changing Rocket 3 plugs they had to rig up the spark plug wrench with an extension and duct tape to make it work. Even if the manufacturer includes tools I don't think they believe many people will even try to use the before calling the dealer.
