It's still in the process of being painted. It's taking a lot longer than I expected, but that's okay the guy that's painting it is a perfectionist, and I don't want to rush those type of people.
Sad day when that generation has left us. My uncle was also a B-17 pilot in WWII. He passed away last year at 90. He actually saw Lindbergh fly over Boston as a kid. He got up early that morning and rode his bike into Boston to catch him fly over. Great tribute...!!
That is Friggin Awesome, well worth the wait. Man that there is really something to be proud of, If you hadn't told us that was painted on I'd be asking what you sealed the joints with so the tank won't leak
