I ride because it is the most close I feel, short of walking among nature itself, to being one with nature and the spirits of my ancestors. And........................because I do not have wings to soar with the eagles, I must remain with the turkeys on the ground!

Why do you ride :

Myself , I ride because the experience it brings .
The challenges of what might be @ the next turn .

The primeval feeling of the hunt , the awakening of your senses ,
and the awareness of all things .

Not viewing things from the back side of a picture frame . as in a cage
( Alice in looking glass effect )
The feeling of agility & flexibility of a long, lost youth !

The slow constant trickle of adrenaline , and the
euphoria, from the moment , you pick your feet up.

PS: :D

Being a Libra on the Zodiac
I really like to balance on 2 wheels

I posted on this some time back, but like previously stated,
reasons change from day to day.
I ride the rocket because it ALWAYS gives me a rush.
Unlike a harley thats just a ride from point a to point b.

It keeps me young

In 1982 I bought the only new bike I have ever owned. An 83 750 Nighthawk. I was a young single Marine and I could have bought a car, but I couldn't afford all the car I wanted. The bike was cheaper, so that's what I bought. For about three years that bike was my only mode of transportation. It got me to the parties, beaches, bars and (when necessary) work. I slept on it on occasion, beside it sometimes too. My girlfriends either rode on the back or they had to drive. I drag raced it at Carlsbad Raceway and even took it down Orange County International Raceway a couple times before they shut it down. I even got inflagrante dilicto with a young lady on that bike (Yes! ON the bike:p).
Those were littorally the most fun years of my life. I have grown up and am much more mature and responsible now. I have children to think about and care for. BUT, every time I throw a leg over a bike. A bit of me goes back to 19 years old, not a care in the world and out for fun frolic and mayhem. I survived in spite of my bike back then. I survive because of it now.
