A bike also affords one the ability to outwardly express the internal machinations of one's personality and since I have multiple I built a Rat bike from the parts of several others and named it the Bi-Polar Express.:D

To answer he3Rtic's question I now live in Portland which is in a valley between two mountain ranges. We get rained on about 8 months of the year but have a beautiful dry season that we're in right now. It's truly paradise with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. There are few annoying bugs compared to the South where I used to live. Roads are always in good condition and there is no such thing as a straight road here. Everything's a twisty mountain road or one following a river. Truly biker's heaven.

Manic Mechanic and Molinoman,
Who cares which thread it started life as.
I sure don't look to see if its appropriate for me to post.
If I got something to add, I do.
If not I just read it.
If the topic catches my eye then I see whats been added.
To tell the truth,
I NEVER look to see which part of the site a thread comes from.
Didn't think anybody did.
Always figured that was just a place to look to see if your question has been asked before,
a way to keep the topics in some sort of order...

I have to take exception with the shrink thing. Several other Vet riders in this area as well. Being of unsound mind I tend to test the envelope of reason. Don't get me wrong, I ride to get me to where I'm going in a personal way. It is economical which justifies leaving rubber occasionally, hopefully in a straight line ;). And it's a chick magnet. :)

I stand corrected, my apologies. Didn't mean any disrepect to any Vets, of which I am one. Just not in time of war.

I ride motorcycles for all your reasons and because I'm retired and cheap and it's cheap transportation, well, the KLR is cheap transportation. Actually, any motorcycle is cheaper than a cage both in maintainence and gas usage.

I like owning multiple bikes so I can ride different ones at different times because each bike has it's own personality.

For XHDSKIP, I think you misunderstood our two posts (at least mine) I was joking as I don't have the R3T...and originally I didn't realize it was in the R3T Forum...I would have answered the original entry anyway.
