With TORS and a GI-Pro with ATRE, which tune should I use? I left the stock one in when I changed to the TORs so the rear flies would stay open.

I started with the TuneECU files for TORs for my model and change them until I was happy.. but some maps have the Ignition retard set to <No Ign Rtd>
If you load a new map make sure your GPi is Off the - position first before you load the new map.. I forgot one time and the bike wouldn't idle in GPi position 1 which is AIRE.. I think it conflicts.

I Have the PCv+AT so it just cleans any map up to make it suitable..

Go in with tuneECU and open up your secondary's then just add a PCV with AT problems solved, or better still rip out your secondary's fit triple K&N forget about using the Tune ECU but still get the PCV with AT

tune?

Hanso, would you have a recommendation for a stock R3Touring with stock exhaust and the 3 K&N filters and underseat filter?
I want to go with this setup for now until I can afford to get Jardines in the future.

So you are going Triples K&N's only cos you cant have both Triples and underseat filter ! To be honest what I would do in the case of a Touring wait till you can get the Jardines and buy a PCV with AT at the same time also then fit your triples, rip out the secondarys butterflys find a tune that get rid of your ignition retard in the TuneECU libary ..... and hang on:D
The little difference just putting on the K&N's without let the extra air out would be pointless.
If you are wanting to create power don't even think about just changing the underseat filter for a K&N underseat replacement cos you would be wasting your time, the only time the underseat replacement would be a good option would be if you were not doing anything else:)

Tunes

Hanso, thank you for your advice.
I am not concerned about power right now, and the Jardines can wait till later.
I just like the really cool look of the 3 K&N's and the cut bear claw and I want to be a show off and pretend the powers there.
Make all my Hardley friends drool.
Maybe I do not have to worry then about putting a new tune in and just leave it stock?
I just do not want to run lean.

I would be concerned because you will more than likely will run lean, if you can afford to buy the PCV with AT now it will look after your fueling, as you change things it will alter to compensate and you won't have to worry it might even make the bike run smoother and add a little power as well while it is still relativly stock

Oh and if you really want to piss your hardley mates off get a set of RX 4040 instead of the 2780 everybody runs ( see my bigger is better thread)

I don't think the 4040s will fit a touring, according to Flipmeister's site, and some members here, different tank.
