Marty, you need at the very least get a motorcycle oil, and being in Sydney a higher viscosity than what you have. When it comes to your wet clutch you may find problems when it works it's way into the plates...there may be no additives in there to do the right job...

The cheapest end of the scale I dare go is with Shell Advanced Ultra 10W40, it's JASO/MA2 spec'ed and OK for the UK based on the fact I'm in crappy low temperatures...being in Australia you ought to be running a 50 grade oil to retain the right performance at higher temps which means more money I'm afraid.

Looks like a pretty good motor oil. can I ask since your from down under why did you dicide to choose a regular engine oil with no wet clutch additives verses something like the Motul Nev reccommends. Especially since I know its available down under. Not sure it is in the US but to be fair I never looked. Just curious I am not saying you didi anything wrong.

Yes. That is what I am currently using. He said to run that in my Carpenterized motor as well. So far... so good.
