How much time is required for a trip of those dimentions

Did a quick route check and from my house to Prince Rupert, BC is 3,271 miles so assuming ~ 500 miles per day that's 6 1/2 days (round off to 7). Then an overnight from Prince Rupert to Haines, AK on a ferry up the inside passage so another couple of days bringing to total to 9. It's 775 miles from Haines to Anchorage so add another couple of days and we arrive in Anchorage 11 days after we leave home. On the way home I would take a different route that skips the ferry up the inside passage. The route I chose is not interstate and puts me in the mountains as soon as possible and keeps me in the mountains as long as possible. There is a more direct route. I have a buddy that rode the Hoka Hey challenge a few years back when the route was from Key West, FL to Homer, AK and he made the run in 8 1/2 days so I'm sure I could make it from Anchorage to Houston in less than 7.

I would say that this round trip could be done in three weeks easily with lots of time for goofing off or a direct ride there and back in 10 days or so.

I was thinking that the west coast is a bit far for me this year. The exchange rate sucks right now ($1.38CDN) so something a bit closer. There are plenty of East coast Rocketeers that might want to look into a (maybe not so) mini RAA this side? The Adirondacks are great. Nice roads and scenery. Before I went to my first RAA I attended a few"Rocket Salvoes" organised by guys from the dot.com site several of which were held in this area. That's where my moral turpitude began, coinciding with rooming with Warp 9.9 for the first time! :whitstling:
Thoughts?

Youse should then vote "other".
If the other wins out, the current choices shall be tossed and new ones presented, including yours.
You can change your vote.

COME ON FOLKS LET"S VOTE and get this moving!

check the cassiar highway for part of your trip either up to prince rupert or down from alaska also for old bones there is a natural hot spring on the alaska highway called the "fort liard hot spring in southern yukon

Straight open roads definitely not the type of roads you would want to ride a Rocket on. Centrally located in the united states so every one has a chance on going, bad idea. Cuba sounds better.
Would love to ride Cuba:)

Sorry, not enough time for something that long:(
I guess i will just intercept the caravan somewhere, say hi and comeback home, if we do SD im all about it:)
