keep in mind those that are not familiar with that area, some have said the very truth, couple years back went to sturgis, custards last stand monument was going to go to yellow stone but it snowed the night before and all that day we were going to go, instead went straight west over the top then south down snake river into Utah to n.m this was in mid august weather does and will change bring appropriate riding gear may be 60_70 deg. till you go thru the passes then may snow and then be down to 20 deg be prepared

I voted for our politicians not long ago , still have a sour taste in my mouth not ready to do it again!!
politicians are a breed apart they all could be friend across all borders since their hidden agenda is basically the same all over the world ,except maybe one or two AUNG SUN KYE being one still searching for the other not holding my breath though back to topic
I voted..but I will not ride more than 7 hrs per day hopefully there are no days with more than 7 hours i the saddle

We can ride from here to Butte, MT (606 mi) - meet you & spend night.
Next day to Spearfish is 500 miles. Will be 7.1 hours at 70 mph.
Will that work for you?

how in the world you can figure out a .1 hour timing
sound like a tall tale , I will carry out this first one at any (un)reasonable speed , if my memory serves me right the ride to montrose was similar but the speed was also shall we say slighly insane!!! at time.
after I will definitively restrict myself to gentlemen's day ride( I need my beauty sleep)

also when you say I quote"from here to Butte" that is you leaving fircrest with Dan and go to butte and we hook up there ? in butte ....no problem on that

Yes indeed. Amigo!
The 7.1 hr drive time is from Google Maps.
500 miles divvied by 70 mph = 7.1 hours.
On I-90 this shall be a can of corn!

must add fuel stop ,beer stop, and pee stop is all that included in google map?

I just realized that since I am looking at something over 10,000 miles round trip (with the side trip to Anchorage) I will probably end up riding the HD so I don't have to do a tire change in the middle. This should be interesting...
