MT tires
AND youll run a faster and quicker 1/4 mile with a MT than a CT on a ROCKET
YOUR RIGHT AGAIN CKTraction is achieved by making the circumference larger. Thus keeping the tire cooler so it will not melt. Thus creating traction. The wide patch is just for getting great grip off the line. It's quickly lost if the tire gets too hot. So, the tire is designed to get taller and narrower.
Again….I’m just saying that the contact patch is not the only consideration for traction. Dragster tires are 17.5” wide. Why not 30” if contact is the only criteria? Now you wouldn't tell me that a wider tire will do better on wets roads would ya?
