What did you do to your Rocket today?

Sad to say I had a Rivco luggage rack and it racked up my fender but good.
I made the mistake of actually using it to carry stuff. The rubber pads underneath dented the fender
and the rack itself flattened out in the middle and did a number on it too.

A Rivco original like mine but a UK parts maker now makes a black satin version not sure if they have chromed though.

Do not overload it or the tip will carve into your rear guard paintwork on rough roads and short 5-20 km stretches of dirt with corrugations etc. I have also heard and seen that the silicone pads will rub the guards even with light use or no load and with dust they will also mark your paint. In rough conditions the pads will wear or fall off exacerbating the damage. How do I know all this?:(
It was made in the UK it is solid stainless polished to an almost chrome shine. I would really have to load it to get it to bend to my fender it's thick. I never have seen the Rivcos except in pictures but I am very pleased with this. One thing the mounting screws were a little too long for me. I replaced them with screws about half as long. I didn't want fully compressed shocks to send new Cobras into some screws sticking out where they don't belong.

In reality it's duties on this bike will just be ceremonial.

Can we get a picture of your rocket, it’s gotta have every cool part ever made for them
They come and go in and out of my shed and elsewhere, it does not stay the same long but there are a few pics of it in various guises since I got it .;):D

I just found a PhB tank, guards and chrome exhaust system with a suitcase full of watches in my cupboard under the stairs today;):D

Haven't found my 2 spare oil tank caps yet though sorry @HansO and @BDKcoyote. Already pulled heaps out of my shed. I will grab one off the 4 R3s at Turk's - he never rides his anyway and I have another 2 there too.:p;)

I found 2 new chrome oil tanks in the shed though:banghead:

Oh yeah but getting a new rear fender for you no problem
In red stripe PhB not so easy. It took me 2 years to find used f/r guards from separate source, then a new tank from UK delivered to OZ cheap ( now dinged:(:banghead:)

Now if I wanted to look like a SMARTcar no problem at all;):D:roll::roll::roll:

Man, it’s not my week.

Someone took my small American flag off my bike at a bike night in NY Wednesday and I feel like I just got robbed again getting my other bike repaired in Florida today.

Nice people and a wonderful showroom but the Fun Bike Center in Lakeland wasn’t fun for my Visa

Fork seal replacement plus cutting 1/2” off spring spacer and adjusting clutch cable cost breakdown:

3.5hrs x $110/hr = $385

Shop supplies (WTF for??) = $25

2L fork fluid = $27.90

Seals = $80

Break light bulb LED = $9.99

License Plate bulb = $.68

Tax = $31.40

Total = $559.97

I’m riding to the RAA Tail-O-The-Dragon next week and up the Blue Ridge home and didn’t want to risk having an issue on the way so didn’t have much choice as the Tech at Triumph Tampa quit last week...

Is this what you Floridians usually pay for Triumph service or did this Yank get reamed without lubrication??

They just took one look at your bike and said this guy has plenty money, getting that front end down though is gonna be real nice on them twisties though

I finally got time in the garage after pi55ing off the wife.

Tank is nearly empty so time to fit the rubber tank supports that I brought 3 months ago.
