I was getting a Popeye Left arm from squeezing the clutch so I finally investigated why it was so hard to pull and discovered the mechanic who put my risers on
had routed the cable such that it had a slight "S" bend and was trapped under the frame cladding.

I freed it from that constraint and lubed it up and it was much easier pulling it today. Yeah, but it's not like my '05 which is effortless.

But will the tarting never cease though?

1. Last night I Opened the package of vinyl wrap and discovered I incorrectly ordered Gold Chrome instead of Red Chrome.
2. Figured I'd just practice and wrapped the oil tank embellisher. Kinda liked it.
3. Well, I couldn't control myself and wrapped the two outrigger covers.

My riding buddy said she didn't care for it but I had a larger number of people than normal approach me today with very positive comments.

The best being "It's a work of art".

The gold stays for now.

This was my first wrap and I have a lot to learn. The YouTube videos all say that chrome is for advanced wrappers and now I know why. I should
have started with normal vinyl as it is more pliable and forgiving. The chrome is very hard to get around compound curves and kinks easily and ruining it or
looking sloppy. It also scratches easy.

The Oil Tank bit is really quite elegant. The two covers would not last long if one carried a passenger.

Rode mine. First trip in a month. Damm but the Michie Road 5 is grippy.

Real glad you likey, Amigo!
Twas a real game changer for me.
Gave it a first twistie test on the Coronado trail last January and was became truly bonered at how good it was.
1st tire I have EVER felt a shift faster in the twisties. Control was so sweet I could drag boards just enough flexed up max to maintain control.
Good improvement in maxing my lean angle as well. Still have those nasty 1/4 inch chicken strips that I cannot eliminate totally due to board and ocassional frame drag.
You & Patrick @albertaduke were the pioneers for me on the rear Azaro run reverse up front!
Mucho Grasias!

Blue Chrome - yes of course. Their Gloss Blue Carbon looks awesome too.

Chrome is only supposed to stay on for 2 years while regular vinyl can remain on indefinitely (but typically lasts 5-7 years though due to elements, smog...).

Neither is good for high-abrasion applications but chrome is especially touchy. You can also get your vehicle ceramic coated to protect the wrap investment.

I only ride solo but do like to put my feet on the back pegs occasionally so we'll see how long it holds up. I can patch over
a tear or peel it off and redo it in less than an hour.

I've watched lots of videos on wrapping (& dipping) and went with VVivid as it is a premium brand in the industry
with a proven track record for ease-of-use, durability, colorfastness, variety etc.

3M is good but some say you can see glue lines with some of their wraps. Cheap China wrap is, well, cheaply made (thinner, less glue).

It is just unbelievable the options VVivid offers. Besides the chrome, they have numerous mattes, chameleon color changing, gun metal, leather texture,
carbon fiber, holographic, glow-in-the-dark (think Tron), flake etc.

Check the company web site and then shop Amazon or eBay for prices: The VViViD Shop - The Vinyl Wrap Store, Open to the public!

Small pieces are available to play with. My gold chrome roll was $15 for 1.5' x 5' plus $10 for a tool kit. Special handling gloves are recommended.

I also bought gloss carbon to do the roof, wing, hood design, mirrors and side accents for my car so the bike work was for practice for that project.

Red Chrome -

I have never tried Vinyl wrapping. My concern, now, is my eyes. I simply can't see close up without glasses. And arm's length is (in this matter) close.
