What did you do to your Rocket today?

Thanks @1K9 and @Bob R !! I'll get some of that Loctite Moly.
And hopefully the 180 Touring tire is not quite as a humdinger as those 240's!

You don't have to use a lot. Just clean all well, I use brake cleaner spray and old underwear . Then just paint a coat of the black gue on the spline surfaces. I paint both the male and the female sides. Use a Zip tie to lift (prop up) the end of the shaft so that the drive starts to go in, then pull the tie out and push the drive all the way. Torque wrench please. Slow until everything clicks even at 20Nm (15 ft/lbs) first, then to 60Nm (45 ft/lbs) The manual says 64Nm (47ft/lbs)

LOL. I'll bet!!! Thanks for the spline pic = 1000 words!!! I thought it was a shaft thing.

And I found this. It appears to be the same as the big tube.
Honda Moly 60.jpg

No need for the weights with the Ride-On, but if you use the weights still use the Ride-On for a puncture sealant, it works well.
I don't think the Honda M-77 is a 60% MOLY lube, get the loctite stuff, as said - 60% Moly is needed

Huummmm:thumbsdown: Are you sure the tail arm connection to the tank bolt hole will take big, repeated stress? I think its going to get loose.
Ive seen other mounts like this especially on sport bikes. Usually its just a pivot pin in a mount. But the tank mount was right in line. Its outer diameter is .625" we shall see I can go a little larger in the stud if needed
Its not a real beating. As hydraulic oil is on both sides of the block transfering at a rate decided by me. Its a smooth movement so I'm thinking there is no real shock except the ruts in the roads running parallel with the bike. We see its nothing to chang back to stock if I decide I don't like it. But so I'd say don't hold your breathe on me disliking it. I do need to test at warp speed though. Not looking for a ticket :)

Nothing happens on the Rocket without stress. I hope it works. I get a headshake with sudden deceleration. It scares me.
