What a difference a tire makes!

Yes. I bought mine through a local shop as i didn't want to fight that big old back tire. They were within $30 of the best online price i found, so with shipping it was probably a wash. Plus they charge double to mount an outside tire.

I probably should check into that as well. Did they give you a hard time about mounting sizes other than the original sizes???

They didn't say a word. Even though they aren't triumph dealers, i expected them to look it up and ask, but the only comment i got was about not matching brands. The other shop i priced didn't flinch either. Of course both tires were special order.

I have yet to find a mc shop though where they don't give me the vibe that I'm bothering them and they want me to give them my money and go away. The nearest triumph dealer is 2 1/2 hours away, not that I'd expect them to be much better.

Well, I haven't found an MC shop that I have full confidence in. The place that I plan on taking my bike to is no longer a Triumph dealer but they will still change tires. So I guess I will find out.

I just ordered up a Avon Cobra AV-71 140/75-17 for $102.99 and FREE S&H from Rockymountainatvmc.com
I'm glad I found this forum thread, I probably would have gone with the 150/80-17 and would have spent $37 more, if I hadn't.

I think it's time!!!!!

A great tire at a great size from a great source for your Rocket Roadster!

Ive just seen this, and I thought I would chase it up, so I rang this tyre place and the guy says I cant legally fit the 140/75r cause its a smaller tyre.Plus there would be insurance problems, if I had a accident the insurance wouldn't cover me RABBIT

That's a crock o' sh!t brother
